Oasis : 史上最強のアホ兄弟バンド

えっと、ぶっちゃけた話、Oasis が好きです。いや、好きでした。きゃっ、恥ずかしい。。

で、Oasis といえばなんと言っても (What's The Story) Morning Glory? ですよね。ノエル・ギャラガーの作るどキャッチーなメロディーとリアム・ギャラガーの鬼のような声とものすごいヘタクソな演奏で世界を席巻したあのバンドOasisです。正直3枚目以降からはまったく面白くなくなってしまいましたが。

高校生の時にファーストシングルを神保町のディスク・ユニオンで聞いたときは正直ぶっとびました。なんていうか自分が求めているバンド！って感じでした。そっからどんどん売れに売れまくってものすんごいバンドになってしまいましたね。そりゃ売れるよなって感じでしたが。なんと言ってもリアム声が最高ですよね。それからというもののシングルはリリースされるたびに買い、挙句の果てには西新宿でブートまで買うというものすんごくミーハーな買い方をしていました。ブート聞いたらローゼズそっくりな（というかパクり）みたいな曲があってウケましたが。

そんなこんなで最近ふと思い出したように Oasis を聞いています。朝、会社の近くのバス停で降りたと同時に Champagne Supernova を大音量でかけるとめっちゃ気合が入ります。この曲、多分 Oasis の中で一番好きです、多分次に好きなのは Roll with it のカップリング曲の「Rockin' chair」という曲です。めちゃくちゃいい。

3枚目以降からはまったく面白くなくなってしまいましたが。

この頃のOasisは技術とかじゃなくて、メロとリアム声と歌詞で無理矢理成立してる感じがロックっぽくて好きでした。
「Rockin' chair」いいですよね。ものすごいキャッチーなシングル曲とキャッチーさは劣るけどさりげなく名曲が含まれるカップリングの組み合わせに負けてこの時期のOasisは結構シングルを買いました。カバーとかも選曲が絶妙だし。「I Am The Walrus」とか「Cum on Feel the Noize」とか「Street Fighting Man」とか。

というわけで本日はOasis Dayとなりました（謎）
